Brian joined Houck & Christensen CPAs, LLC in 2023. His primary responsibilities include analyzing flight log activity and passenger coding for fringe benefit calculations and annual income tax & IRC 274 entertainment cost disallowance calculations. Brian prepares and files various state sales tax returns and annual property tax renditions, along with Federal Excise Tax calculations and reporting. He conducts tax research for federal, state, and local tax compliance and recommends tax strategies. Prior to H&C, Brian spent 14 years (2009–2023) at the Internal Revenue Service as an Internal Revenue Agent in various programs and locations. During his tenure at the IRS, he examined various federal tax returns and tax-exempt bond forms, adjusted tax returns, identified appropriate penalties, and served as a cooperating agent and expert witness on criminal tax cases.
Brian holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Pennsylvania State University (1995) and a Master of Business Administration from Centenary University (2009). He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in the States of Pennsylvania and Washington, and he is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
He is involved in the community, serving as a Penn State University LionLink Mentor (2011-present) and a PGA Tour Fan Council Member (2022-present). He also volunteers for corporate hospitality at the 2024 US Women’s Open.
